FROM AND END-OF-YEAR TRIP TO BEING A DRIVING FORCE TO TRANSFORM THE WORLD

2012

WE HAD A PROBLEM

16 years old. Second-to-last year of high school. A trip to be paid and little money in the piggy bank. We had to sharpen our wits. What if we organize a tournament in the school?

We got down to work, we organized a basket 3x3 in the school, we raised the money and we travelled through Italy!

2013

SHALL WE REPEAT?

After the success of the first event and the amazing trip through Italy, in the last year of high school we proposed a new edition. Nevertheless, there was no trip to be funded and the entrance examination to uni was around the corner...

What we liked the most was the environment of the event, seeing the participants enjoy, organizing the event itself... We didn't need the money anymore but a lot of people did, so we decided to carry the tournament forward donating the benefits to a charity.

2014

OUR TURNING POINT

We had created a clear source of income. We knew there were people that needed that money way more than we did. We became aware of the potential. We were 18 years old, a lot of energy, time and ideas so we decided to grow big!

We continued to hold bigger events each time, with greater involvement and incomes, collaborating with different local social entities.

2015

BIRTH OF PLAYING

After six editions of the already known #Playing3x3, we decided to take another step and create the first charity aimed to support social projects via solidary sports events.

We created a non-profit association, a work team made up of volunteers and we continue to enjoy what we liked the most: organizing sports events to raise money to donate to social projects.

2016

WE GOT SERIOUS

We had been shaping this project in our free time, university breaks and weekends for 4 years. It was time to enlarge the team, to create a solid structure and to set the sight in the long run. We wanted to be the charity of sport!

We were born again in 2016. We identified 3 key problems in our project and a very exciting solution. Turns out that we didn't have any bonding with the projects we were supporting, we weren't generating a big impact with our contributions due to the big size of the entities and we didn't have any information about what they were doing with our contribution.

We decided to embark ourselves on our own project to have a strong bonding, to generate a high impact and to have a total control of the funds.

2017

SEEKING OUR OWN PROJECT

While the team was being reinforced in Spain and we were expanding the tournaments, the sports and even the cities, we didn't lose sight to our decission to create our own project.

During 2017 we decided that the project was going to be educational and international development aid based. Click here to know why. We still didn't know where, so we did several research to find the most needed and viable country at the same time, and this is how we found Gambia.

However, we didn't have any first hand information and much less a location and a type of project in our mind. A team of 11 volunteers travelled to Gambia to visit educational projects, to learn from them and to visit locations that needed this type of project. After two months of expedition, Basori was the perfect location.

2018

CONSTRUCTION OF OUR FIRST OWN PROJECT

We come back to Basori in the summer of 2018 with a mission: to create a nursery school for 90 children aged between 4 and 7 that would begin to change their future and soon it would be expanded to hold hundreds of students.

We could talk about this for days but it's better for you to click here and see for yourself how far we have come from that summer of 2018.
